Therapy Fees

The Australian Psychological Society provides an annual suggested fee schedule. The current suggested fee for the 2025-2026 financial year is $318 for a 50min+ session.

To assist in improving access to therapy, a 3 tiered system is used to determine fees:

  • Full Fee - $318 - applied to third party account holders

  • Standard Fee - $250

  • Reduced Fee - $200 - Centrelink Health Care Card or Pension Card holders

  • Clients funded through the NDIS or DVA are charged fees in line with the requirements set out by those governing bodies

Please note: Medicare rebates or Private Health Insurance may assist in reducing the out of pocket fee, however these do not cover the full session fee. Payments are required on the day of service.

Autism Assessments

Comprehensive Autism diagnostic assessments involve gathering detailed information from multiple sources, including clinical interviews with the individual being assessed, interviews with someone who can report on their behaviour in different settings (e.g., parent or partner), review of psychometric assessments, and review of school reports. A detailed assessment report is then also provided, and a feedback session held to discuss the outcome of assessment and recommendations for next steps.

Each clinical interview (with the individual and the informant) is charged in accordance with the therapy fees ($250, or $200 for health care card holders). In general, you can anticipate 3 interview sessions, 2 with the individual and 1 with the informant. Feedback sessions are also charged in line with these fees.

A flat fee of $1400 is then charged to cover the remaining clinical work and report preparation.

To assist in making access to therapy more affordable payment plans can be negotiated based on your particular circumstances.

Children and young people may be eligible for a Medicare rebate through provisions to support assessment for complex neurodevelopmental disorders. Please contact Anna or speak with your GP to determine if this is an option for you.

ADHD Assessments

Comprehensive assessment for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) involves screening for symptoms of ADHD, ruling out other explanations for these symptoms, exploring co-occurring disorders, and understanding how these symptoms influence engagement in school, work, or recreational activities. Following diagnosis of ADHD psychological strategies to support symptom management and reduce interference in day-to-day life can be explored.

Assessment involves interviews with the individual being assessed, an interview with someone who can report on their behaviour in different settings (e.g., parent or partner), and review of other available information (e.g., psychometric assessments and school reports)

Interview sessions are charged in line with therapy fees ($250, or $200 for health care card holders)

If a diagnostic report is required (e.g., for liaison with a Paediatrician, Psychiatrist, school or external agency) then an additional report writing fee of $462 is applied. If a comprehensive report is not required, a summary letter is provided to the professional who referred the person for assessment (e.g., GP) at no extra charge.
